Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko is an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai athlete from Peru, and a mixed martial art artist fighting for the UFC at the flyweight division, is in the midst of in the Flyweight Division. She is the younger sister of her fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous vote. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as she won a gold medal in 2011. In addition, she was named IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in 2016. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship as well as in the year 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she was the winner of the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. The result was that Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina was given the UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Roxanne Modafferi via split decision after she won her first bout. Antonina came back from losing by defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. It earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner over the next three fights, beating Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee. Recently Antonina lost to Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos vs. Walker via second-round TKO.
